In Pursuit

No one said it would be this hard
finding my heart's desire
This dream to pursue is out of reach
I'm running and growing tired
Everything seems promising
everyone offers so much
and yet my thoughts aren't guided
to anything that I can touch
Everlasting dreams,
Eternal significance
Is this what to look for?
My fulfilling deliverance?
There is always something more
as the night sky screams
of a great artist's touch
to erase my feeble dreams
The mountains reach to touch it
as the stars throw down their spears
the earth is effortlessly watered
with the cloud's endless tears
The world is vast,
the task is great
to seek your heart
Is my goal to make.
I'll say what you want,
I'll run if you just tell me
until finally I'm made into
the man you want me to be.
