Rain to the Glass

Your rain hits hard and never stops
Your reign over my heart is over
The falling hits hard
and yet I remain unscared
My fireflight through the sky
to return and capture a star
That I've never been able to see
because your clouds block me
Though I can't give her all
I've found this shield of glass
that defends your secrets
and holds off the rain 'til its pass
I can still see you
this glass is quite clear
but now I forget your reign
since I broke your bonds like a chain
Forever I'll remain dry
the glass stays transparent
Daybreak in the east
Your rain begins to cease.
